Anxiety Counseling for Women

Posted on July 24, 2025 by admin

By Teresa Franz, LCSW — licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in trauma, anxiety, and women’s issues.

We’ve all been there: one little worry snowballs into a full-blown worst-case scenario. Before you know it, your heart’s racing, your jaw’s tight, and there’s a knot in your stomach that just won’t quit. Your thoughts spiral out of control, leaving you stuck between panic and paralysis.

That endless loop of overthinking, imagining worst-case “what ifs,” and jumping to catastrophe? That’s anxiety talking. But here’s the good news—it doesn’t have to run the show. Anxiety is just a learned way of coping, and with the right tools, you can unlearn it and replace it with healthier habits that help you thrive.

It’s time to break free from anxious patterns and step into a life where you feel confident, capable, and in control. Healing starts now—let’s make it happen!

What is Anxiety Therapy and What to Expect?

Anxiety can be such a sneaky thing, can’t it? Whether it’s the everyday chaos of getting through your to-do list, feeling awkward in social situations, stressing over work, navigating relationship drama, or even dealing with mom guilt (been there!), it can leave you feeling overwhelmed and stuck.

That’s where anxiety-focused therapy comes in. Think of it as a chance to slow down, breathe, and figure out what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll look at the roots of your anxiety—whether it started in childhood or a tough or traumatic experience—and work to untangle those old patterns that just aren’t serving you anymore.

In our sessions, it’s all about you. We’ll create a safe, judgment-free space where you can unpack your emotions, thoughts, and triggers with care and understanding—like talking to a really good friend who just gets it (but with tools and techniques that actually work). You’ll learn how to calm your mind and body during stressful moments and feel confident navigating life’s ups and downs.

I use an attachment-based approach, which just means we’ll dig into how your relationships—past and present—play into things. And I bring in all sorts of proven methods like mindfulness, somatic work, CBT, EMDR, and AEDP to make sure you have the right tools to tackle whatever your anxiety throws your way. Whether it’s people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, panic attacks, or even just trying to get through a morning without yelling at the kids, I’m here to help. You don’t have to do this alone.

I offer remote sessions across Texas, so we can work together no matter where you are. Ready to start feeling more calm, confident, and in control? Let’s chat—I’d love to help you find your way back to feeling like you again.

Why I Specialize in Anxiety Treatment for Women

I get it—life can feel overwhelming when you’re juggling so much as a woman. Whether it’s work, family, relationships, or just trying to keep it all together, the stress can build up fast and turn into anxiety that’s hard to shake.

I’ve been there too—dealing with anxiety, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. But through my own journey, I’ve learned how to find confidence, peace, and balance, and now I’m here to help you do the same.

Together, we’ll explore what’s brought you to this point—the highs, the lows, and everything in between—so we can break free from the patterns holding you back. I want to help you figure out what you need to feel grounded, calm, and in control again.

You don’t have to do it alone. Let’s work together to get you back to feeling like yourself!
