What is Christian Counseling and What to Expect?
Christian counseling is a compassionate, faith-centered way to work through life’s challenges and grow emotionally and spiritually. In our sessions, we’ll talk about the things that may have left you feeling hurt, ashamed, afraid, or like you’re not enough. The goal is to help you feel more whole, worthy, joyful, and at peace with yourself and your story.
Many of my clients come from families or churches that told them that you need to be “perfect” or you aren’t good enough, that you need to earn respect, love, and acceptance through good behavior…but that contradicts the message of grace.
On our own, none of us are perfect, and we don’t need to be.
The science of healthy attachment aligns with God’s word that you are already lovable, acceptable, and worthy right now, as you are, and I can help you find that joy and peace that you’ve been missing.
In our sessions, we’ll have meaningful, honest conversations that draw on biblical principles and therapeutic techniques. Whether you’re working through personal or relationship struggles or just trying to strengthen your faith and sense of purpose, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and understanding.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, reach out—I’d love to connect and see how we can work together!
Why I Specialize in Christian Counseling for Women
I love working with other women of faith and showing them that God’s message is one of love, hope, and grace. I love being able to share that love and grace in session with you, to help you see that you are already enough, that you are already loved, and that you can feel confident that you can handle whatever life brings.
In my life, I have experienced PTSD from a car accident where my baby was trapped in the car with me, and I couldn’t walk normally for close to a year. I have wrestled with my faith and what it means to be a godly woman. I have been in an emotionally abusive relationship and had to learn to trust myself enough to set boundaries. I have overcome patterns of people-pleasing, anxiety, and self-doubt, and I love helping other women through these struggles. Believe me, I was a mess! And now, I get to share all of that grace with you in your healing journey.
My practice offers a supportive environment where women can explore their faith and personal growth in a safe space, free from guilt, fear, or shame. By addressing issues from this perspective, I empower women to find strength and meaning in their faith, helping them navigate life’s complexities with confidence and grace.
